I just built a chrome extension at a hackathon that does end to end asymmetric encryption of facebook messages.

The more relevant part of that, is sending messages /without/ the facebook API.

The extension sits on top of facebook and is able to send messages to anyone, without rate limiting, or any other limitations. As far as facebook can tell you're just typing a message.

I'm curious what kind of a market there would be for such a tool.

Sounds interesting. I think it would be relevant for people targeting certain type of Facebook user. For instance someone who wants to contact 1000 admins of pages dealing with cooking...
By the way I'm this kind of guy, we are launching a new service and I need to contact Facebook pages owners to propose them a partnership, but all my messages end up in the "other box". So I would definitely be interested in your extension if it's still on.

Because it sounds like an autobahn by Facebook to me :)
