Does anyone know if it would violate FB's policy if there were google ads on the landing page? I've seen pages with ads but I can't find anything in fb's policies regarding this.

No violation by having adsense on the page your promoting.. FB are very easy so far with regards to rules etc..

I would advice against it. Facebook does not want you to monetize on their platform. I will almost bet that you will lose publishing rights.
