Hey everyone, I'm really interested in facebook apps but I have to admit, I don't funny understand it all. I have tried to make a couple of apps but I am getting an error with the SSL certificate and that's probably because I don't have one, but I swear I have made apps before without the secure canvas.

Does anyone know how to make an app for a picture gallery and when someone views an image it shares it on their wall an tags their friends? this would be really good.

I don't think you need a SSL certificate. My apps work without them.

I believe you need an SSL for the https:// facebook that a lot of people use.

I don't think SSL is a pre - requirement for app on facebook

You will need a SSl for your main site now. Without that your scripts wont run.

Since october 2011, Apps fb neeb SSL certificats !!!

Use Social Server, but bugs sometimes...

u clearly need a ssl certificate for https on apps man, and for those who are in facebook with https like me

I was wrong. You need a SSL certificate for all users who use facebook with a secure connection, otherwise they can't use your app. But i'm not sure there are many SSL facebook users at the moment. I just tested some apps, and they don't have a certificate too.
