I have a quite coolfacebook app, but cant seem to get any traffic to it.

Can anyone suggest the best way to get traffic to it at all?

if its cool then ask your friends... if its really cool then friends of friends will follow and so on... With fb I dont think you need to market that much, your friends will do

If your app is really cool, then the only need is to invite your friends and engage them, from them it?ll be available for friends of friends and so on.. You can also set some exciting status updates relating to your app and communicate with your friends. They will get to know about it and will tell their friends to join it.

Create a fan page of your app and get like there by suggesting your friends to join the page, posts some features of app on your page, communicate with your fans and engage them in the activities on the fan page. They will automatically attracted towards your app, my friend did that and it really worked.

As far as I can see you have legit application so to get traffic you may try Facebook Ads.

You can either use accounts to seed the app, if its posts to the users profile, invite the friends etc.
Or use ads, there are a few curses around here too that are pretty useful and you can get started with $100 or so to see what works for your app to get more and more installs.
get10kfans is good from Brian Moran in my opinion.
