I’ve been experimenting with different posting schedules on several Facebook pages, and the algorithm seems inconsistent lately. Some days, high-quality content barely reaches anyone, and other days average posts perform better. Is anyone else noticing strange fluctuations in reach?

“Yeah, reach has been weird lately. Even solid posts are hit-or-miss. Seems like Meta is testing algo changes again.

Do you post manually or have an automation soft ? or a scheduler

Facebook is not stable in terms of reach. Today, it may not provide any reach or sales, but tomorrow it may generate x3 of the daily revenue and reach. I have long given up on this, as it is the case with Facebook.

Yes, there have been a lot of fluctuations lately. Even pages that usually have stable reach are seeing irregular spikes or drops.

Facebook ads is becoming unstable now. You can't expect same results everyday. It's better to switch to google ads.

I’ve pretty much accepted that without a little push it’s dead. For months now I just drop 15–25 real-looking comments (5–10 words each) in the first 15 minutes through one cheap service. Costs pennies, but the post instantly jumps 4–6× in reach.

Yes, I’m seeing the same nonsense lately.

Some days FB pushes my weakest post like crazy, and the next day my best content gets buried. Reach is all over the place — feels like Meta is running constant tests and our pages are the guinea pigs.

Engagement velocity in the first 20–30 minutes seems way more important than before. If a post doesn’t get quick reactions/comments, FB kills it instantly. Also noticed reels + carousels randomly getting boosted on some days and then flatlining the next.

So yeah… it’s not just you. Algo is definitely unstable right now.

Many page administrators are also experiencing the same situation. The Facebook algorithm has been fluctuating quite a lot lately, causing unstable reach: some days quality posts “drop” in reach, while normal posts are promoted more. This may be due to the system constantly testing content distribution and adjusting interaction priorities. In general, the fluctuations you describe are happening on quite a few pages.

The algorithms unpredictable lately high quality posts can underperform, while average ones get traction. Post steadily and learn from what gets real reactions.

We’re seeing massive and unusual fluctuations in Facebook reach right now. There’s been a significant drop in consistency, with pages, even those that have been consistently performing, experiencing sudden jumps or drops in their reach. It’s all about adapting.

The algorithm is a bit unpredictable, especially with Reels and mixed content. Sometimes the system pushes content more aggressively, and other times it restricts distribution. This is normal during periods of Meta ranking signal updates.

Might be worth trying short, snappy posts or mixing in interactive content like polls or questions small changes can sometimes trigger a big boost in reach.

Yes, that’s normal—Facebook’s algorithm can be unpredictable. Reach fluctuates based on timing, audience activity, competition, and content type, not just quality.

It's not that the algorithm is erratic, it's that you're looking at it too emotionally. Reach fluctuates based on file, post time, newsfeed competition, and early engagement signals.

I find that quality content is sometimes overlooked because it doesn’t generate engagement quickly in the first hour, while average posts win if they’re lucky enough to reach the right audience. You should try to focus on creating more conversation-provoking content.

There are a lot of people who are getting wild swings because Facebook is constantly testing the algorithm and the content priority is unstable on a daily basis.

Facebook’s algorithm can feel unstable sometimes, especially when you’re testing different posting schedules. I’ve also noticed that certain days perform much better than others without any clear reason. It might be related to audience activity patterns, content type, or even temporary adjustments on Meta’s side.

Facebook constantly updates its algorithm to optimize user experience, which can affect how content is distributed and reaches audiences. The more interactions your content receives (likes, shares, comments), the more likely it is to be promoted. However, other factors such as posting time can also come into play. The time you post can have a big impact on how many people see it. Experiment with different times to see what works best for your audience.
