The field is less populated that it seems. In the past, many of the actors used multiple accounts to to create BSTs and bots to bump to take a more significant chunk of the cake.
It's less frequent these days, thanks to the great jobs the moderation team does, but if you see something suspicious, report the thread or comment because it still happens today.

The cost of ads has increased making profitability of the sellers very difficult. And if you add competition in the mix the guys that run facebook accounts are having it very difficult right now. That's why so much spam exists, if they can promote themselves cheaper or for free they will definitely do it.

For the Facebook ads beginners: Just wait till December is over before you launch your campaigns because there is not enough time to get them optimized in what is known to be the peak CPC/CPM time of the year. Come back in January and start slow form there.

As for spam, take it up with mods. I tried and it seems that rules on what spam is are very soft as long as you are not intentionally inflating your post count or straight up breaking parts of TOS. If I was moderating it, I would delete over half of the replies of the threads you speak of and bunch of replies in this one as well. The level of English also degraded over the years and comments, including your post OP, are hard to read and understand and just outright painful at times.
