Facebook Ads underperforming

Around a year ago I started an online shop mostly for clothing and shoes. The ads were doing more than fine, until 3-4 weeks ago.
I used to receive a lot of messages and people bought stuff, but now the reached number is low and so are the messages. They're not even performing 10% of what they used to. I wonder if anything change and what could be the problem?

Same for me .... Ive spent over 40k on facebook ads this year, started at £2-3 per message lead, last month before the new messaging policies was at £8 per message ... now i can even spend £50 and not get one single message

What do you think the problem is? The messaging policies? This is quite unfortunate for us. No clue what we can do to fix this.

Should only apply to europe, luckily for me i live in the UK and we leave europe on the 31st of this month... im just waiting for then to see how things are , pointless running messenger ads right now

Another solution is using an ad account thats from a country outside europe, and use it to target countries that arent in europe also

The thing is I don't really have an option to ship worldwide, I can only ship within my country.
And, PayPay is unavailable here..

really not sure then, the weird thing for me is with the message ads i get exactly the same CPC and CTR, but messages received may aswell be nonexistent ; its like theres some sort of error that prevents people from messaging, honestly not sure what to do with those ads at this point as ive wasted over 5k testing with no good results

I understand what you mean. I legit think the system is bugged. My ad today shows 2 people messaged, even though I have received more through ads, and the number reached basically doesn't seem to change much. There has to be a way around this.. I will let you know if I stumble upon some solution.

I suppose contacing facebook is pointless.

Thats weird as even when i receive messages stats still show 0 - i also noticed that those who do message dont even use the quick replies / faq options, they just send a custom message, so im starting to think if these do not display


Tested over 100 creatives, over 50 different messaging options and nothing will even yeild better results, at this point im simply spending 200 per day just hoping that it gets better

Have you contacted facebook live support? They might be able to help you out.
 
Performance has been all over the board in Q4. I don't run messaging ads though. Only ecom and lead gen... But man it has been a roller coaster.

Could you link me to the Q4 Board? No idea what that is.
I suppose I could try to learn ecom and lead gen. Any useful links you could redirect me to?

Most likely. I contacted FB Support and they somewhat confirmed that my ads underperforming is related to the privacy changes...
 
I think the problem is there are less and less stupid loosers who don't value their time and give it for free to facebook so the number are down. The loosers who spend time for free are probably moving on some new timewasting platform so you need to go find them there.

Doubt that's the problem. I might slightly agree for Facebook as I see less people using it, but Instagram is used by pretty much everyone, at least around here.

Do NOT run ads during the 4th quarter.

The big boys are DUMPING money and buying up ALL the best traffic, you're buying the low quality shit. You won't get conversions at your normal rate.

Wait until the 2nd or 3rd week of Jan.

But sadly it gets bad leading up the 14th of Feb.... but after that its dead and you'll get good conversions again.

All you can do is wait it out. It happens every year.
