Hi BHW community,
I'm running a white-hat lead generation campaign for a medical/healthcare client using a high-limit Agency Business Manager account. Everything was stable last week, but over the last 3 days, I’ve run into a bizarre issue that I haven't seen in a while.
Here is the breakdown of the situation:
  • The Issue: Conversion data from both Pixel and Conversions API (CAPI) is heavily delayed. Events are taking anywhere from 6 to 12 hours to reflect in the Ads Manager dashboard.
  • The Symptom: Because of this data lag, Facebook’s algorithm seems to be panicking. My CPM has suddenly doubled (spiked from $8 to nearly $17), and the system is burning budget on junk placements during the first half of the day before the conversions finally register.
  • What I’ve Checked: Landing page loading speed is fine (under 1.5s), setup via GTM is working perfectly on the test tool, and no changes were made to the creatives or targeting.
Has anyone else noticed a sudden reporting lag or CPM spike in the last 48-72 hours? Could this be related to a silent Meta algorithm update, or is there a temporary glitch with the CAPI deduplication?
Would love to hear some insights from veterans here. Should I let it ride and trust the attribution window, or duplicate the campaigns to reset the learning phase?
Thanks in advance!

wrong section mate this belongs in fb ads not blogging, btw its a known meta glitch right now so dont reset learning phase just lower budgets till it fixes..

It is possible you are experiencing a temporary Meta reporting delay rather than a campaign issue. If Pixel and CAPI tests are passing and no major changes were made, I'd avoid duplicating campaigns immediately, as that will reset the learning phase. monitor performance for another 24–72 hours, verify Event Manager diagnostics for warnings, and compare actual leads/CRM data against Ads Manager. If conversions are still being recorded accurately, the attribution lag may resolve on its own. Many advertisers occasionally see short term reporting delays and CPM fluctuations without any account side problems.

i think this is just a temporary reporting/attribution delay and not something broken in your setup, particularly since Pixel + CAPI tests are still firing correctly. When Meta begins to lag on event processing it can definitely throw off optimization signals and cause short-term CPM spikes like you’re seeing.

Had the same headache a couple months back and just kept double-checking if my CAPI event setup was running clean, with no duplicate or missing events firing. Sometimes, clearing out browser cache or switching up reporting windows in Ads Manager jogs the numbers loose a bit faster. If things still lag, tossing in a manual UTM tag on your landing pages can help cross-verify conversions till Meta sorts itself out.
