Hello BHW.
I figured as my second post here I'd share a little bit of what I'm doing.
I have a "main" business which has died down after the holiday season so while people work on getting cash back into their wallets to give me, I've decided to try something else.
I have an account with various FB ads running on it.
PF had a great offer that appeals to most males 18-40.
I had to get manually approved for this particular offer and after being approved I started promoting it the day before yesterday.
Basically this is what I'm trying for all ads I'll be running:
1) Find a decent offer on PF. I've seen a lot of questions on sites like BHW on how to find good offers. Myself, I only promote offers I would use - and in this case, I have.
2) One website I own is a review site. On it I'm creating a hybrid information/review page pushing the offer.
3) Create ad on FB (took me two days to settle on one) which directs users to the review/info page.
4) Precisely target my audience by gender, location and interests
5) Let er rip, testing $30/day initially per-ad
The first offer is going alright I guess. It's getting about a 0.50% CTR on FB.
I suck at creating ads (I think?) so this is decent for me on FB.
The past clicks have yielded conversions for at a cost of roughly $0.75 CPC on FB and earning me in total an EPC of $2.71 on PF.
For me, this is freakin great.
Maybe someone can give me a pointer here..
My ads are very targeted but still have an audience size in the hundreds of thousands.
My relevancy score is 9
My ad and landing page are well, completely relevant.
The suggested CPC on FB for this ad set is $0.12 .. I have it currently set to pay up to $1.00 per click.
I always pay my FB ads bill. I don't use coupons. It seems whenever I'd bother in the past, FB would close my account after a few days (maybe it was my source?)
Ad delivery is set to accelerated.
I'm getting next to no reach now though.
If I switch to CPM it shows to thousands of people but the costs are simply too high for the conversion rate so back to CPC bidding it is.
It's getting somewhat frustrating because it's not just this ad.
I've a total of 5 ads currently (the other 4 do not pertain to this "journey"), all with a relevancy of 9, targeted audience but not too targeted, decent CTR (when shown) and the ads meet TOS and are non-spammy.
One ad has a total of 3.4 million potential "audience members" and the ad's still only been shown to 6 people in the past 48 hours even though my bid is literally exactly 5x the max suggested FB bid.
I'm having a problem getting reach it seems.
Trying to ask FB for help well ... Things don't get much more futile.
Anyway, I debated splitting this into two threads - one to share the journey and one to ask for advice - but they both would kind of need each-other so it's all here.
If anyone could give me some suggestions on my problem above, that'd be awesome.
Either way I'm going to keep testing things and post back once I've a little more progress.
As soon as I see some consistency with this ad campaign I'll be launching 4 more again targeting PF offers.
I'm also signed up for MB but my experience in the past is that something is horribly wrong there.
If I take the same offer from PF and MB and promote them the same way, PF will way out-perform MB.
Things just simply don't seem to convert for me on MB but this could also just be coincidence.
Either way I'm sticking with PF for now.
