Why is this happening
There is no logic here, most likely Facebook first shows ads to everyone in general and most often it works and gives a few cheap leads, perhaps the next day fb narrows the audience, trying to show ads to a similar audience and as a rule it works terribly. Yes, Facebook's vaunted algorithms aren't really that cool. The audience changes every day and while the pixel is learning, wild jumps in performance can occur: on Monday you have 15 leads, on Tuesday 2, on Wednesday 1, and on Thursday 10. Such phenomena are absolutely normal for the FB, but not for us. This may happen because the pixel is trying to figure out which audience is right for you to generate leads, and in these attempts you are wasting money (allegedly paying for pixel training, an excellent investment (no)). Another obvious reason is the subsidence of the auction.
How to solve it?
I have divided the solutions into 2 categories, simple and effective — that is, the most popular methods that are used most often and discussion methods — the options are not the most obvious, just someone's opinions.Simple and effective methods:
- Recreate/duplicate the ad
- Run ads on other accounts
- Duplicate adsets
- Set the conversion window for 7 days
- Run ads from different accounts
Discussion methods:
- Waiting for the end of the pixel studying
- Draw conclusions at a distance of 5-7 days Increase/decrease the daily budget
- Change the target settings, change the age +- 2 years
- CBO/Manual Bid Expand/narrow the audience
- Avoid audience overlap within an advertising account
- Retargeting
- Look-alike
- Change creatives
Of course, not all methods are suitable for affiliates whose accounts do not live long.
I once had a cool bundle, which I filled every day, for several accounts on budgets of $ 20, which consistently gave several cheap leads on the first day, then the accounts died. So, on a large number of accounts, it turned out to scale the bundle, without problems with the rise in price of the lead.
Conspirology
There is a theory that accounts with a low trust that still manage to launch get more expensive leads.Another theory. Since Facebook is a big-money corporation, whose income almost completely depends on advertisers, it will not miss the chance to make money on them once again, even on small ones: we give a good result on the first day, the advertising account is happy, then we worsen it so that advertising spends more money on pixel training and you don't leave earlier spending a minimum of time on advertising.
That's it, just a list of answers and different opinions.
And what do you think, why do the leads stop going and how do you solve it?
