Hi guys,

We are in difficult situation as no income, only have 5000$ in bank and that's it we're done, going straight to bankrupt.

Hopefully we just finished our website, which is lingerie niche, our website is quite clean and well finished, our prices are aligned with concurrence.

But we need to sell.......

Big problem with Facebook Ads, it's very unclear the way we should proceed.

1/ It seems we have to build our own database (what they call 'Pixel') instead of using the FB enormous quantities of datas. On the pixel, some black box FB algorithms, AI and blablabla are supposed to optimize the ads results............. well, good luck with such transparency, personnally, i don't feel convinced......... Anyway, no choice we need to advertise our products.

2/ the problem we have is mostly to select the right CONVERSION EVENT....... We are very usure about the potential impacts and outputs due to that setup.... Basically we want people to buy on our website. But we are not sure how the pixel/databse is filled. Some guys we need to set CONVERSION EVENT that CONVERTS to give food to the pixel, some others say the pixel will get infos, whatever is the setup of that Conversion Event parameter.

Ex : if i set conversion event 'Purchase', make no sales, but 400 website visits, will the pixel be 'filled' with the views/visits events, or not ?

3/ Some people say we should go straight to the conversion event 'sales', some other say we should track up the funnel (set views or add to cart events and use lookalike audience to make some sales). This is totally unclear how the pixel fills with datas, and totally unclear how the datas are used. What should we begin with ?

4/ we already configured our Campaigns, have quite clear idea about our customers/audience profile, we put on 4 creatives, they make around 8%CTR....

5/ after few days of test, this is total flop, we spent 70euros for 400 views, around 20 add to cart, and one purchase. I cannot put my website link here cause they say it's making advertisment.....

6/ we tried a bit the 'add to cart' conversion event, the problem is that it generates add to cart, but NO initiate checkout or anything else....

In a nutshell there is plenty of interrogations, and lots of pressure (have a family to feed...), any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys

I'm not a FB ad or PPC expert but I ran few ads before on Facebook and Google Ads, so know a little bit about them and want to give my two cents.

Ans 1: FB has never been trasperent with the data, so F*ck it and try another way to promote.

Ans 2: What pixel first do, no matter what objective you chose while making campaign, it try to gather data for that objective.
SO if you've selected engagement or traffic campaign, FB pixel collect data to identify which people are more interested in your product or page.

What most eCommerce people do to get most out of their Facebook ad is they run traffic objective campaign for few days to gather data about the people that interested in their product and after that they make conversation/purchase campaign. By doing it, you've more chance of getting purchase than making campaign without any data.

From your SS, I can say that you haven't make any kind of traffic campaign for your Facebook Ads. So I would say first stop all campaign and run traffic campaign for 2-7 days and then make a custom audience based on that and run Purchase campaign. by doing this, you've two advantage, first is you've data of your people who interested in your product, second is CPC of traffic campaign is LOW most of the time, so you will not spend as much you spend with the other objective.

Ans 3: From your third question, I think you're overwhelmed with the information out there, so I would say go with the above approach.

Ans 5:
As I can see, you're running CBO campaign right? if so, you should first run normal campaign because, CBO campaign take at least 7 days to optimize your ads for perfect buyer. If you've time and money, just wait for few more days and see if it works or not.

P.S. If you're in e-commerce space, I would recommend you to run Google Ads, as the people who use Facebook don't have buyer intent but story will be different in the Google Case.

So, I would recommend you to switch the PPC network if possible.

P.S.S. please DM me if you want more help because I don't want to turn this thread into conversation thread.

Duplicate adset 1 purchase and find similar audiences, make it broad, 1 audience per adset, create another 5-10 adsets
Create retargeting campaing, for vc atc ic

Fb ads is all about split test, once you found winning campaign, scale it up. You could loss $200-500 at beginning, once you found winning campaign, it will covered the loss campaigns

is your ads videos?..i got lot of sales of my video of my products..i do different test ads.
