Hey, some months ago I was using the following method:

- Create a humor website;
- Post Viral Posts that everyone want to see;
- Use Facebook Ads to promote it.

With that, I was spending 200? a day with my partner and making something like 400? profit with adsense, everyday, the post cpc on Facebook Ads was between 0,002 and 0,004, ctr of adsense was 8% and the adsense cpc was relatively high for the niche. But some months ago Facebook started banning accounts, but some weeks ago it seems like they started to permit this again. But now even with very powerful viral post the minimum cpc that me and my partner can make in fb ads is 0,006 and the ctr of adsense is 1%!!!! That way this method is not profitable.

Someone use to do this? And now? Anyone having success?

Facebook will increase the advertising budget every year. So you can not stay for adsense method.

You can turn it into a sales site

"increase the advertising budget every year" makes no sense.

Anyway i'm interested in OP question too. I'll start advertising some viral content too and I wonder if the cash is still here.

What he was trying to say (I think) is that this year (and past) the number of advertisers on Facebook Ads had increased a lot, for that reason, you will pay more for each click, and the cpc of fb ads is going to be bigger.

You can still get really really cheap visits from Facebook boosting posts, even cheaper if you target your visitors to a country which is not US. The main problem here is to not get your facebook ads account banned, as lately facebook seems to not like this kind of content and the negative feedback score it easily accumulates.

I wouldn't really consider driving paid traffic to a site that gets monetized via AdSense,better try to monetize your site via content locking so you will have a better ROI compared to monetizing with AdSense.

Still works for sure.. the thing I always found (with a similar website) is the story has to be something seriously crazy - as you well know the aim is to spark a fire with the fb ads so that the story naturally spreads then.. hit a big one and go viral is the jack pot.

But yes I agree it does cost much more now. It also doesn't help how much the cunts have clamped down on natural engagement as in your have to pay now for the majority of your fans to see a post. Real shame when you've spent time AND money building a huge page.. before it used to cost less to get stories spreading as you could use your already built fan base - not anymore heh

You will be banned for that

Yeah, Facebook doesn't like anything that does interfere with the user experience and content lockers are a pain, although the only thing they explicitly forbid is the lock of the content in exchange for Likes.

You will get banned for do any type of content locking, even if that is not in their rules. If they ban for a little click baiting (hapenned to me), they can ban for everything that is a little black hat lol

Of course it's still profitable, there will always be people making money off of it. You just need to figure out the right audiences and how to target right.
