Gonna keep this short for now. I have a bit of experience running FB ads and have wanted to try it with affiliate offers (clickbank).

I'm using mancar's method of redirecting traffic. That is, I have created an mini-niche site and a Facebook page.

To start, I'll be posting engagement ads that are designed to try and go viral. After running these I'll invite the post likers to like my page.

I have a handful of clickbank products I'm ready to promote, once I build up my page I'll setup a landing page + autoresponder series on my site.

Today, I set up the FB page, website, and made my first ad with 3 split tests (based on location).

So end of day 1, here are the results from my Facebook Ad sets:

Right now Los Angeles is performing the best, however I might continue to run the other ad sets because they have been optimizing themselves. Minneapolis and Los Angeles started at around $0.07-$0.08 CPR and have since dropped down to $0.04.

The actual ad is doing really well I think. People are sharing it and tagging people, which will get me more traffic naturally. I'm planning on running ads to it for a few more days before just letting it go on naturally, and inviting the post likers to like my page.

Also, does anyone have any tips for scaling ads? Based on what I've read I should increase budget incrementally (25%) a day.

I would suggest you not increase the budget on an ad that is currently performing well. Instead duplicate the adset and add 25% or 50% to the budget. Make sure you dont create a new ad and use the existing post ID for the adset that you are duplicating. Good luck.

what is the point of this?
 
I've been trialling facebook ads a little recently - they seem so expensive, however, it is for Shopify and not affiliate clicks. How do you manage to get your CPC so low?
