In 2025, CPM and CPC costs on Facebook Ads have skyrocketed. Many advertisers report that budgets are increasing but leads/ROI keep dropping.

  • Some believe Facebook is still the king thanks to its powerful targeting, massive pixel data, and unlimited scaling potential.
  • Others argue that TikTok, Google, and even native ads are now delivering better results at lower costs.

❓What do you think:

  • Should we keep investing heavily in Facebook Ads for the long-term?
  • Or is it time to shift budgets to other platforms and only use Facebook as a side channel?

I’d love to hear insights, especially from those spending $50k–$100k+ per month.

Facebook Ads can reach many people, but high cost means it’s smart to also try other platforms.

In my industry, many people are moving to YouTube, and I think YouTube is similar to Facebook.

Just have a try!

Facebook Ads is still valuable for highly targeted campaigns thanks to its pixel data and audience reach, but costs (CPM/CPC) have risen sharply.
For 2025:
  • Keep investing if your product benefits from precise targeting and you can scale efficiently.
  • Shift some budget to platforms like TikTok, Google, or native ads if they deliver lower CPC/CPA and better ROI for your audience.
  • Hybrid approach often works best: Facebook as a core or supportive channel while testing/optimizing on other platforms.
Focus on data-driven allocation rather than sticking to one platform blindly.

facebook is scanning strictly so i am not sure it can earn good money now

I see Facebook as a potential market for black ads, although it is increasingly difficult, this requires good accounts and buyers need to change more.

It will depend on the business's audience
If under 20 years old, you should promote TikTok and Facebook as a secondary channel
If over 20, Facebook is a good channel, but you should not go all in. Facebook's recent targeting mode is also very dumb

Facebook’s power is undeniable, but with rising costs, diversifying is smart. Keep Facebook for scaling proven campaigns, but test TikTok and native ads aggressively long-term wins come from flexibility, not just one giant channel.

Although, cost per result has become more expensive lately but there are sill conversion, you just need to know what works and double down on it. I feel Facebook is good for targeting a very broad audience

Honestly, Facebook’s still strong, but the costs are brutal these days. If you’re spending big, it makes sense to diversify TikTok and Google often bring cheaper, fresher traffic right now.I’d keep Facebook for retargeting and brand building, but don’t put all your eggs there. Mixing platforms and testing is the only way to stay ahead.

We spend 400k+ per month, I can say that it's mostly not about the platform, but about the offer, the product, and the narrow market. Facebook targeting works great for us personally!

FB ads costs are indeed climbing, ROI is not what it used to be, but it is guaranteed to be free because its file data and scalability are still unmatched. I think we should now consider FB as the main channel but split the budget to test TikTok, Google or Native to have cheaper traffic sources and reduce risks. Keeping both hands is safer and more flexible.

In 2025, Facebook Ads are definitely more competitive and expensive, but they still have unique advantages in targeting and data compared to other platforms.

While advertising BH items on Facebook is becoming increasingly difficult and requires high-quality accounts and buyers constantly changing strategies, the high cost of Facebook Ads makes it necessary to expand to other platforms. Many in the industry are turning to YouTube, a channel with a similar reach as Facebook but can be more cost-effective.

Facebook is still a “money-making machine”, but it is no longer the only one.

If the budget is large, FB must be considered a pillar channel in the multi-channel mix, not all eggs in one basket.

Those who “kill” Facebook will see a decrease in ROI; those who know how to analyze and add Google, TikTok, Native will optimize for a longer period of time.

For me, the potential customers on Facebook are still very stable. And I believe many other people feel the same way.

I think this really depends on the type of campaigns and goals. While CPM and CPC have gone up in 2025, Facebook still has strong targeting and data, which makes it effective for some niches.

The truth is that although Facebook is becoming more competitive and expensive, the platform still retains a superior advantage in terms of deep targeting and a huge data warehouse compared to its competitors. The advertising market, including BH types, is still potential but has become extremely difficult. To survive and succeed, advertisers need to have high-quality advertising accounts and BMs (with spending history, reliability) and are required to constantly change and adapt to the tightening of platform policies.
