So that's correct, BM 2500 accounts are defaulted to high spending limits, so this is just a bug. Continuing to spend on this account will bring it back to its original spending limit.

Have you tried calling the Meta support team to report this issue? This is usually due to a Meta error; when you edit a campaign, Meta thinks it's unusual activity and reduces spending. Try lowering the budget to $1, then after a few days, spending will stabilize gradually.
