Facebook ad and sponsored story - same budget?

Hi. I placed an ad for my site, and sponsored story came along with it. My budget is 20 dollars, and I see that sponsored story and ad are listed as separate promotions in the list. What does that mean? Did I just put 40 dollars im my advertising or 20? Is the 20 dollar budget shared by sponsored story and ad, or will ad spend 20 and sponsored story 20?

Campaigns and Ads can have separate limits, a $20 limit on the Campaign will mean the Ad and Sponsored Story will share that $20. From my experience on new campaigns I "pause" the Sponsored Story until I've got 500+ Likes from the Ad.
