You read they go for how much? That's one of the absolutely most ridiculous things I've ever read unless you are leaving some very salient points out of your post. A FB with nothing particularly special about it is worth up to $1. Not sure where your information is coming from, but go sell a few FB accounts for $100 each, and come let me know how it turned out.

If your account is old and had Tier 1 country people in friend list then they are worth to sell in the market. I've got an offer long back for $50 and my profile was PR3 or 4 during that time.
