F/UF... By Hand?!?!?

So, like basically everyone else out there, my automation tools are royally screwed.

While I have follow blocks out the wazoo on the bots, I can still use the app without any issue. As such, I've started doing F/UF by hand and have been able to kick it up to 40 actions per hour while awake without any blocks.

Is anyone else doing this as a stopgap until we figure out the automation situation? Unless things get better, I might just cancel my subscription and keep going with this as I only run one account as an influencer.

I cancelled my subscription already, but I'm not looking into doing this manually, it's too much of a hassle.
 
how the hell you gonna scale it?
well if you looking for job as VA all day doing likes+follow I will hire you lol
 
I did follow-unfollow by hand for a while before scaling up and moving to Followplanner. Even with the bot, every now and then when things were getting finicky I'd do a blast of followings.

Currently, I'm having zero issues doing manual following in batches of 150 four times per day across various accounts. It's a bit time consuming, but at a 25% follow back ratio that's 150 new followers a day times ten accounts.

Two weeks later and I still have no issue doing 30-40 F/UF per hour. I only run one account (as an influencer) so it's not too time consuming. I agree that it's not a scalable solution for mass accounts though.
 
I've been doing actions manually as well and no issues at all so far, both on the phone app and web browser.

Obviously it's an insane thing even with just 1 account.

Yes.

As an emergency I have always had a small farm of phones, with remote in connectivity, so a VA can browse the phone through theirs and proceed with actions.

100 Follows/Hr
all in one instant...no issues, very rarely get blocks.

3-4 times a day works great. Then the accounts are using bots just to unfollow.
Limitations are different on physical device.

Wow that's way bigger batches than I am doing... I do 40 per hour, every hour I'm awake. I just set a Google timer to count down and alter me. It takes 5-10 seconds to do the follows so it's not a PITA if you just can remind yourself to do it.

No issues with the bigger batching?

Manual follow / unfollow? Thats not really realistic when working with a large amount of accounts. Automation isnt completely broken. Alot of my accounts have blocks, but alot of them are following at the same time... some 20, some 50, some 100, some over 300... and some none. Even though my traffic has dropped dramatically, i'm still getting decent amount of UVs daily... I wouldn't be so quick to throw in the towel on automation.

It’s only done on few accounts that I am wanting to grow. Nothing to rely on, would be a drag to scale.
Automation will be back to maximum efficiency soon I hope.
 
When you are doing manual f/uf and liking, do you still make pauses between actions? Like 1 action per minute or two?

Another question which led to me starting to bot some time ago actually, what about accidental refollowing? Writing down hundreds and thousands of acc names is a huge hassle but if a niche isn't that large it is very possible to keep following the same people several times, it's annoying so they might report.
I used to do manual f/uf with people who liked my rivals' recent posts. Same people >.<

No, 100 follows, all in one go. Takes about 40 seconds

You just need to follow a good amount of source accounts, so the users are diversified and scrape users that have liked their content.
 
How long do you suggest I rest account after follow block on phone?

There is this new account I'm working on and I followed a little above 200 on the first day and now I've been follow blocked for 3days now.

4-5 days.

The more you try to run actions while it is blocked the longer it is delayed in some cases.

Leave the account alone for a week, just to be sure.

You got a hard block

Regardless whether youre using the website, the actual IG app, or an automation tool, there will always be limits. So even while using the the app, youll need to find a respectable pause if you intend on following 100 accounts straight, or liking 100 accounts straight manually. If you do it too quickly, the actions will not stick(whether manually or automated).
 
Welp... just got my first follow block by hand. I guess I was being too aggressive with it or I hit that 6,000 limit that people have been talking about.

You mean Instagram will "undo" it? It happened to me once when I was unfollowing accounts. I unfollowed it - immediately refollowed as if automated - tried again - once again Instagram refollowed on its own. I closed the app and didn't touch it for a few hours, it was okay after that.
Regarding pauses I'm also worried I'll look like a bot so I'll get shadow banned instead of merely action blocked.
