I have money in my bank account, not gone over my limit so alls good my end. Cleaered cookies, changed ip all that, tried again and got the same message: ' The card you entered cannot be used for this payment. Please enter a different credit or debit card number.'

I gave up my paypal account years ago because it was nothing but problems, now it seems it want to make life hard even for non paypal account holders who want to spend money.

Any of you guys have any idea how to fix this as it's quiet urgent.

Your problem most likely does not lie with PayPal but the credit card issuer. I have had this very thing happen and it drove me crazy for days until I figured out that the issuer had blocked the card for multiple transaction of the same amount within 24 hours. Try contacting the issuer to get the block removed. Multiple same-amount transaction are frequently regarded as fraudulent by the issue. You can also try changing the amount by a few cents and see if that will work. It did sometimes for me. Good luck!
