Hey guys,

I just noticed Cpa l3 ad has gone down, the stupid network.

However it didn't actually it's just getting DDOS'd atm. It's a shame these guys don't properly manage their servers. If they're getting DDOS'd, at least they could move to a network with anti-ddos measures in place such as Rackspace and Softlayer.

You think about it, I've probably lost $100 from them being down (my prime time right now) and with everyone else thats probably $1000's of dollars. You can get a nice box at Softlayer for less then a $1000 a month, so why don't they do that? They will probably pay it off in less then an hour anyway.

Grr, end of rant.

Heh.

They can spend thousands of $$ to those testimonial video crap, but not afford a DDoS protected server, yeh right. ;)

ha yeh.. it seems to go down nearly every day in the morning for me here in uk, but then its straight back up

the site seems fine to me atm, i guess it's over...fourchan again?!

maxbounty also got ddsoed lately. its not that easy t ostop proper ddos

It's been on and off for me to for the past couple hours now. They're making more than enough profit in a single day to pay $1000 a month on good servers w/ decent protection.

Looks like they must have banned the wrong person!!!

im not sure, i'm thinkin about fourchan again (i happened to see one or more person spammed fourchan with ************** offers), and the fourchanners did this to other networks in return like ShareCash, Adscendmedia...

the only real way to stop such an attack is to take the servers offline...

and if they send one of those DNS attacks, then there's really nothing you can do about it, no firewall will stop those, no matter if software firewall or hardware.

If you read closely what hosting companies say they call it DDoS mitigation, what means that they try to slow it down but they can never stop it, and when it's made in a scale large enough there is really no way to mitigate it :D

Yep, spider is right.

You can not stop ddos in general.
You can fight many attacks with a proper software firewall, others can be filtered or reduced by the datacenter.
In past it was a technique to simply kill the whole datacenter if you wanted to drop one of its servers. It always depends about the network strength and the software used.

But usually ddos attacks are self-limiting, every minute a ddos network is attacking it loses leafs.
The more you use it the weaker it becomes.

ummm they said they do maintince at like 4 o clock on mon and fri on DP forum, so that prolly what tit is

put the tin foil hats away lol

Lol, Cpa l3 ad is not the best cpa I know (really bad in other words :p, it even got censored over here, LOL) But yea an anti-DDos cost a huge amount and even then is it possible you can still get ddos'd.

Hope you don't lose any money in the future.

they do have protection u noobs just freaking out over a maintince cycle lol

You sure its DDoS? Cause so often they go down because they mess around with the live server.

A while back CPA L34D was bouncing up and down for about 10 minutes. And i asked them wtf was going on, and they denied that it had been down. And i assured them that it was, and i almost made it my personal crusade to do it (Just because dont like being called BS). And then they come out and say, "O we were testing a new script, it didnt work out, so its removed now". Or other crap like that.

People still use that crappy network?
Come on people, much better options out there! :p

Hehe just had a talk with one of the developers, they took the server down to do db maintenance.

And yes they didn't tell anyone about it. Hopefully next time they can warn us so threads like this don't pop up again :)
