F**CK Godaddy

So I have a few sites on clickbank and plimus and godaddy contact me today saying that they have received a complaint from one of my domain names.

I ask them to send me the email and it turns out its an affiliate thats sent it from a yahoo email account and the reason they are saying its my spam complaint is because it redirects to my website.

Anyway I tell them this and they reply with an email saying basically its tough shit and its my problem because its redirecting to my domain and I have 2 options...

Option 1: Pay $199 for the problem to go away

Option 2: Transfer my domain immediately to another registrar for $75

Thats it....

So I phone them and go totally mad and basically they dont give a shit they just said its my problem over and over again, I eventually got him to drop the $75 if I transferred it within 24 hours.

This was all from ONE complaint that was an email not even sent by me or my hosting or my domain so if anyone wants to take a competitor down registered with godaddy its as easy as that.

What pisses me off the most is that godaddy are the biggest spammers ever themselves, I really hate these companies that get too big like paypal, google etc

I will NEVER use godaddy again now they have basically blackmailed me and they said I was lucky to still be receiving a service from them...

I have had the same problem with them. I have never used then since and I have not had any problems

Go to Internet.bs. They don't give a crap about any complaint.

I moved all of my domain to namecheap, so I would advice you go with namecheap or name

just redirect any traffic coming from that affiliates page elsewhere with htaccess. should fix the problem.

Yeh I said that and they said its no good the damage has already been done lol, anyway transferred the domain to namecheap now and going to transfer my other 100 domains over when I get a chance... never using godaddy again.

Namecheap, heard good things about them so gonna move all my domains when i get a chance.

Agree - godaddy sucks.

Godaddy blows, namecheap is much better

Lol thx for the offer but can't see one, I like there interface much better than godaddys, easier and simpler to use.

yeh, don't do it... It amazes me how big companies treat there customers, if they had treated me ok then this thread would never have come about and they wouldn't have lost the new business beause of it.

I use name.com .. I read to many stories like that about godaddy. I still don't understand why they would charge you 75 dollars to transfer a domain. That doesn't make any sense.

Yeah, I always had trouble with godaddy, moved all my sites away from them about a year ago...

Go to Internet.bs , cheaper domains, no issues.

and I wonder why people continue to promote godaddy and the bullshit... AVOID COUPONS to save your self a few dollars the first year. Why people continue to bring up godaddy is ridiculous.. We are marketers not amateurs you shouldn't be buying into the commercials you see on tv
