ezinearticles/goarticles backlink quality

hey guys,

was just wondering if the quality of the backlink you get to your niche site from ezine/goarticles is greater if your writing about a more popular topic.

for example, the comparison of these two:

a)submit article to ezine/goarticles that's about something like music production.

b)submit article to ezine/goarticles that's about a popular topic like happiness, weight loss.

would scenario b) give a higher backlink quality to your site than scenario a)?

It completely depends on your site's relevance to those topics. There is more traffic in weight loss but they tend to be tire kickers, looking for a magic pill or super diet.

Be sure you focus on content relevant to the niche market of your site first. That will tell you what direction to head in.

Write your articles based on what the market is interested in. For the weight loss example above, titling your articles "the magic pill super diet" will work better than articles that lack those magic keywords. The backlinks will follow.

With ezine articles you will have a better chance of your article being syndicated at many websites if you choose a high traffic term like weight loss. Some people will write articles about weight loss even if it is totally unrelated to their niche just because they want a larger number of backlinks. They just put their backlink into the article summary.

I think ezine/goarticles are no follow links. I just submitted an article to associated content because of they are do follow backlinks. Any other suggestions which article directorys are best for backlinks?

You are not correct with this. Ezine and Go are both do follow. Associated is no follow.

Correction: I just checked no follow/do follow with the Firefox no/do follow plugin and it turns out all three are do follow links, only excpetion is the resource sidebox on Associated.

In my personal experience article directories are invaluable, mostly if you link-wheel the Ezine and/or Go pages making them the hub of your chain.

Of course these article pages will serve as power backlinks (they are DO-f...) to your actual $$ page. Then repeat yer usual pinging exercise for all of them.

I'm not sure about backlink quality but EZA gives me tons of traffic - at a ctr more than 25% that is. The trick is in keeping your articles short and to the point.

ok thanks guys i think there is some confusion with my initial question but here's what i've concluded:

the two reasons for article marketing via goarticles/EZarticles are people either directly trying to convert traffic from the article site to their site, or they are simply publishing lots and lots of articles on popular topics for the backlinks.

i'm doing the second one. just trying to rack up the backlinks, so i'm going to write about popular topics.

my next question is similar in relevance: when using ezine/goarticles and article marketing in general as your marketing scheme for your niche sites (its the only way i plan to market really) how much more effective is it to create article pyramid systems and use web 2.0 sites than to simply just have a certain amount of articles on ezine/go articles to ALL to backlink to your website?

to help clarify my question, let me try to simplify it;

consider these two examples of article marketing

a) publish 50 articles on ezine/goarticles, all backlinking to NICHE SITE X

b) write 50 articles, but put 10 on web 2.0 properties, have the other 40 all backlink to these different web 2.0 properties which then backlink to NICHE SITE X

c) write 50 articles, publish all on ezine, but have say 40 backlink to 10 articles that are ALSO on EZINE/goarticles and then have the high backlinked articles on ezine all backlink to NICHE SITE X.

examples B/C contrast from A in the sense that they are using a pyramid scheme and not just direct links from all.

so basically are scenarios B/C more effective than A? is the difference big?

The content or topic of article is very important in the article directory. If you write article based on keyword or topic which are mostly searched in several search engine, your article will get better traffic and thus the backlink will be more effective to your site.

It is not the only trick to get more traffic. You can build your content search engine optimized by having good keyword density and the content of article should match with metatag of the website.

agree - i experience the same

The content is the king.If the content is perfect,then backlink will automatically follow.
