Now is this normal, so I spend like 2 hours writing an article in the financial sector and submitted it to Ezine. It's my first article and less than 3hours later, I got an email from them that my article had been approved and should appear on their site within 48hrs. Now I've read here about how it takes a week to get articles approved. And it was stated on their site as well.

They also said; "You've also earned Expert Author status". Don't even know what that meant.

Now I've been thinking, Ezine makes money from adsense and authors subscriptions right? So if you submit an article in a high paying adsense niche like the financial sector, they will review your article faster. Just what I was thinking.

But under 3hrs? I'm not a paying member or anything. This is a new account and my first article. I'm super thrilled.

That's cool..it's not normal, but I think what probably occured is that you just happened to have caught them just as they were getting ready to review that categories submissions. I know I've had this happen with AC in the past. It's also possible that it had something to do with submitting to a financial category like you mentioned as well. Maybe someone else can chime in if the same thing has happened to them.

As far as getting expert author status, they give that to everyone right from the start.

OK just found out the Expert Author status is something everyone who gets an article published in ezinearticles gets. Nothing exciting about that.

So they prioritize categories!!! I'll throw at them a couple of finance articles and see. Your adsense reason is definitely on the money.

Well I'm submitting another article I just put together. Although I think it might be late for today but let's see what happens with it.

EZA seems to be on a go slow right now, usually I get my articles approved within 48hrs max, I've been waiting 3 days so far. I've heard if you just keep on submiting then they will get moving and approve your articles.

Yea they have been really slow. I have 7 articles waiting in que that were submitted Thursday of last week. I gues they're moving like snails because of the long Labor day weekend.

Ezinearticle is really snail crawling. It takes to long for them to approve your article. This is not the best I think.

What about featured articles? I submitted just two and both of them are selected as featured articles on ezine. Is that also a title everyone gets?

Yeah they give certain categories special attn. (especially in the finance). Also. if you have submitted the same article at another big name directory (buzzle, AC, articlebase w/ same pen name) they will typically review them in a short amount of time.
