First time this has happened on a large scale.

I posted an Ezine article today and noticed that theres around 30 sites that have copied the content without keeping the footer with my links in. they look like autoblogs.

Anyway to prevent this? Or is it worth while reporting these sites?

Ehh, I don't think you can really do much about it.

They are using a auto-commenter to pull the feed from ezines to post to their blog.

Not much anyone can do to stop that really.

I have one question about ezinearticles...not really ontopic. I submit 1 article 4 days ago but that article is still in " Pending initial review " . :( How much it take to get accepted ?

You can start looking up these sites' whois information and send them emails or call them or whatnot. Might be enough of a scare to make them stop... on the other hand it might not be worth the time it takes to do that.

Paste those 30 URLs into your own comment poster app and try to post a comment/your link on them. Other than that it's probably not worth your time.

Worth it to spend 5mins to send the emails to get your links back on them. Also worth it to create links within each new article that lead back to your info pages :D

Good idea

I think the quickest way of taking care of it is just sending a list of URLs to Ezinearticles about which sites are copying the content. This isn't to say that it will be fixed but something it works.

I keep my pen names very unique and use Google Alerts to search for the pen names. When one article is found in Google, it tells me automatically. I'll just compile these links every month or so and send off to Ezine. I don't want to spend more than 5 minutes as it's not something you can really mess with as it's automate on their side.

And ezine has nothing in hand to punish these websites. Do they?

Copyright, since you've given license to EZA to publish the articles. It's non-exclusive, so you could complain and they could complain. In addition, they may know who to call to expedite or if the domain is private.

I would most definitely let EZA know about. Whether or not you can stop it or not, that I don't know. On the flip if you say nothing, do nothing, you are only letting your content be abused. Get in contact and let them know that you DEMAND your url be put on the content, then show them the original... worth a shot.

It's a pain. They say on the site that it can take anywhere up to two weeks but usually it is about 4 to 5 days. I have noticed though if you have submitted a lot of articles already the time seems to improve. Also, I don't think that they work on weekends so there goes two days there.

Its it really worth your time. Ezine articles sucks why are you wasting your time article marking when the links are nofollow.

If i was you i would do what i did. If you cant beat them join them. I bitched about my content being copied so i just started coping other peoples content lol.

Those sites have less authority than ezine, so ezine will always come on top, so who cares!

Exactly, you are right, Ezine has editor team to validate articles, So google respects them. So don't worry about the rest. . Google doesn't give respect to those 30 sites, IMO. .

Thanks

I don't think it is worth doing anything. My articles usally get coppied to hundreds of blogs and most of them don't leave the bio box. Because I have several websites and submit articles regularly I really don't have the time to chase after everyone. I will have to send thousands of emails. I really have better things to do. And google will always rank ezine higher than the autoblogs.

It does not matter as myself and streday said, and even if they leave your link in there, that is all dupe content for google, so it is discounted. So don't worry about it one bit. Move on to doing something that makes $$.
