I am testing my speech recognition software right now. It seemed so easy when I was going through the tutorial, but when I tried after the tutorial it was hard to remember how to navigate using voice commands.
It took me about 5 minutes to correct a couple sentences. It seems that once I get used to this, or it gets used to me, it will be extremely handy. Until then I only wish it had a neck for me to choke!
LOL < - - it took me 3 minutes just to get it to say that. I'm not even going to try again! LOL will it gets better after you correct it a few times. The reason I was trying to use that LOL is that I farted and it spelled a word. I think it's spelled the word "are".
Well, this took about 10 minutes to write and now I am aggravated so im going to take a break. I would like to point out that vista and seven come with speech recognition software installed with the operating system. If you have vista or newer, go to your control panel and look for the speech recognition icon. I think you can even download it for windows.
Well, the speech recognition software has done all kinds of whacky things by clicking words instead of typing them and reset my text a few times, and pissed me off, but I am reassured that this tool will be very valuable and it is worth the time. I plan to use this to write content for my website in the most efficient manner possible. I think I can really concentrate if I can kick back in my chair and dedicate all my brain power to what ever subject I wish to write about.
This entire message took an extremely long time, but it's pretty amazing to sit here and watch the words appear on this screen without me moving. This is definitely an excellent investment of my time. I have an idea for a web site, but it is very difficult to force myself to sit down and type out the content. This is definitely a game changer.
