Thanks to everyone who has offered advise so far. The 1st thing I did was try for the freelance jobs using the freelance websites. Unfortunately the competition is more fierce than I ever could have imagined. I'm seeing 40-50 bids for every job that comes through and I could never compete with the rates these guys from India are offering (they'll do anything for pennies on the dollar), I can't even turn $20 a day using that method.
Next I looked into that amazon method and it looks like the entire method is based around signing up for a directory of whole sellers using WorldWideBrands, unfortunately they require a $300 sign up fee (unless you've NEVER used the service before, which I did years ago) and I can't come up with that type of money right now. That method required a real business tax ID anyway (which I don't have, hintz why I didn't use it originally years ago)
The next thing I'm going to try doing is the YouTube sexy video method. Hopefully I can scrap a few dollars together using it. Although I have no idea how to increase my views enough to actually get my video seen.
Any more advice or help anyone has would really be useful right now. I need it more than ever. Thanks.
Don't jump from one thing to another. You can easily make your goal if you just focus on one thing and go at it 100%. Every hour you spend trying something that doesn't work out for you is an hour you could have spent moving forward with one thing that works. It's common for people to get stuck in an infinite loop of jumping from method to method.
You have design skills, and you need $ fast, right? Yes, freelance boards are competitive, bu there's more than one way to skin a cat. Offer your services here (paid), offer them on other forums. Contact designers who are already successful and offer your services as a subcontractor.
Don't let yourself get distracted by the next big thing, just concentrate on your goal. My $0.02.
