Extreme Difficulty Ranking With New Domains

Hey,
I just bought a site with exact keyword in domain it is a .net (not a .info) and I put up some articles have some reasonable, not amazing On-page seo, and did like 10 social bookmarks and 5 web 2.0 sites with anchor text in them, and the keyword i'm trying to rank for has PR 0 and Pr n/A for all of the first page with 488,000 results. The site has 4 indexed pages and has been up for about 4 days and it is not even ranked in the top 1000?! I should add that all the top pages have no keyword in domain just subpages of random entertainment article sites. Does anyone have any input on this? Does buying aged domains (indexed in G for awihle) with even partial match of keyword or not even any part of keyword in the domain stand a much better chance to rank fast? Thanks for the input

keep up the work you've been doing i think its just too earlier to get indexed or your work is not strong enough, but for sure part of it related to that is a new domain with PR0 and your only up for 4 days, give it little bit more time but keep up the SEO work, do more WEB 2.0 sites with anchor text, and basically work harder. what you've done for now its not enough.
not for getting indexed in 1000 this is a matter of time i think
 
I'm just wondering mostly because in the past with exact ranking keyword in the domain with relatively non easy competition I would rank on page 6 or anything in top 1000 overnight once it was indexed. Is this atypical to expect?
 
nor you didn't did the same work as you did in the past, or the competition is not that easy or its like i said a matter of time you should probably get indexed in the next G dance not sure how good but at least within 1000, do mass ping just in case and add some more web 2.0 its always good and push some more backlinks
 
PR doesn't mean shit.. I have one site that is outranking everyone with a pr of 0
 
Well obviously, but I meant to imply that they had little to no backlinks to the page cause they were easy to non existant competition
 
Have some patience. It's been 4 days. Give it a couple of weeks at least to see some movement and for Google to index you properly.

Hi there,

I bought a few brand new domains (. com, long tail, exact match) in late Dec 2010 and they are ALL ranking on the first page already with very little work on my part. Personally, I highly doubt that aged domains that aren't exact matches could do any better. HTH. :beerglass
 
My websites pretty much always get indexed within 24 hours but I dont see any serp postion until 5-6 days after that. The thing is I come from not being in the top 1000 to being in the 2nd or 3rd page then I just move up from there.
 
Sometimes you get listed really fast (like 24h), sometimes it takes time.
It depends from many factors, liek keyword, backlinks, content and maybe even the weather :)
 
I believe you should reaserch more on LSI for your content to give more relevance factor for your content. This way you can level up with your toughest competitors.

In terms of uniquesnes, syntacticcal resemblance with other sites should be atleast 60% to have enough uniqueness.
 
what if the links you have their quality is not so good and depends on the content too and yes age is a big factor for good ranking because older domains are more established and trusted in googles eyes my suggestion to you would be to link blast the web 2.0 sites pointing to your main site.
 
from the time i am indexed to the time i see a serp is about a week and then ends up on page 6.
