Extra tags

Its still worth to put extra tags to description or its waste of time and risky for my ranking? I was some videos in saturated niches with 3000 views, 3 likes no comments and extra tags on 1 page.

For example this video old 1 week, 2400 views, 100 likes, 8 comments + extra tags, ranked od first page for 37 700 results in saturated niche. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTvOaHIOmsU

I've never bothered putting tags in the description. It never makes much of a difference.

I still managed to rank a video on the first page without tags in the description.

I don't know for sure if it makes a difference in ranking, seems like a pre panda/penquin thing to do. I however still throw up a few of my main keywords as extra tags in the description just in case. For the extra 30 seconds it takes to enter them in there its worth it to me if it even gives me an extra .05 percent increase in ranking.
