How is it possible that sites.google.com has an extra sub-sub domain layers to it,
all displayed/showing on a single desktop search result

web.sites.google.com

amp.sites.google.com

sites.sites.google.com

Is this deliberate ?

Deliberate? Not sure. But they are probably just using wild-card DNS entry. e.g.

* resolves to some ip.

Fun fact:
If you try lol.wut.abc.efg.jik.xxx.amp.sites.google.com

That will resolve too (but it will throw ssl error because the certificate wasn't meant to certify that deep).

Following. Anyone knows how to insert your domain after sites.google? When I create a new site looks like sites.google/view/title but I saw a lot of websites like sites.google/domain/title
