Can somebody answer how changing old indexed follow links to nofollow affects website?

My website has a lot of external links and i want to change attribute on all of the to nofollow. Is there a possibility it will hurn my seo?

I put up a post about this a while back I changed aprox 300 ******** to nofollow affiliate links, i dropped 30% on my keywords got scared, then 1 week rankings went back and havent looked back since

Thanks for the answer. Just red your thread, didnt see it before. I also just changed 500+ links to nofollow, lets see what happens.
