I wanted to know what kind of external hard drive you guys would recommend? I'm going to use it to store both music and movies.

I also wanted to know is it fairly easy to access and use the files you put on a external hard drive?

I have a Seagate FreeAgent that works well for my needs. It's easy to access the files on it -- you just right-click on Start and select Explore to open Windows Explorer. The external hard drive will show up in the list of all other drives and folders.

I have a 500GB Lacie external (for music) and a 1TB Time Capsule (for business) that I use in conjunction with Time Machine. I'd strongly recommend either one.

    I have one, it's 500 Brontobytes, so a bit bigger than SPB's.

I have a 500 gig western digital. It works well, wish I would have gotten a 1tb one now.

will be buying another one 1tb later this year.
