Exploring "Fastlane" Roadmap

An so it begins, my partner recommended I read "fastlane millionaire" and let's just say I was blown away. How I got into IM, two people I know were shocked that I wasn't getting into a niche and making xx,xxx monthly. I was unaware about IM until my partner found me and came up with the idea that I'd do content and he'd handle technical side. Sorta learnt as I went, first week made 3 dollars!!! Off amazon BUT life took over as I slacked off.

My one friend was already making x,xxx/day which I was unaware of, it became inspiring. The biggest inspiration was when my 2nd friend stated he was now making money after losing it for a year and by april (we were in march) he'd be moving into manhattan. TWO DAYS LATER, he says he's moving to city. WOW...

I started taking this seriously, got my 1st client for consultation. An started studying copywriting hardcore. Then I read, THE BOOK (fastlane millionarie) and had a life changing shift in mindset. I then knew I JUST MIGHT HAVE AN IDEA!!!

Started reading BHW forum almost 3hrs a day, learning and seeing which methods to implement. About 4 days ago, we launched our first product. HOWEVER, 1st day was crazy since there were technical problems and no way to process credit cards. So we aborted our test run on our mailing list. End result...

16 sales, we simply just put up sales page, no promotion and no one really knows it launched. To put things in perspective...
- Blog list of 700
- A friend list of 200
- Targeted Local List of 500
- My partner list of 100k (due to all his IM work)

An the smoking gun, we have a monthly subscription!!! We haven't even rolled out our affiliate program nor begun using paid traffic. The potential is huge as my journey has just begun...

Where I'm at right now
- Created 2 tumblr pages with the intention of driving traffic. I've got 30 clicks to my blog
What I'm planning on doing
- Creating a twitter and instagram
- Writing out 30 articles in a week to last me a month
- Read 1 copywriting book a week

Questions I have
- What are ways I can optimize my tumblr pages to drive traffic to my blog/sales page?
- Would I get banned for having "click-through" directed to my blog/sales page?

MY GOAL = Money/Business System Targets (Although my side goal is to make 1,000,000 in a year)
1. 34,900 & 5,225 per month
2. 210,000 & 31,500 per month
3. 398,400 & 59,750 per month

I don't know answers to your questions, but this seems interesting journey and I will follow you.

Have good content on your tumblr blog and also like and reblog other people's posts. I don't think you'll get banned for having a link to your sales page, I've seen it done a lot of times.

I'm going to be updating on a weekly basis...

- I've been reminding myself "learn as you go" or else I would end up doing little to nothing besides reading more and more. An our first issue has been the payment processing having issues which has caused us to stop sales for the past 3 or so days. (So far did 18 sales in 2-3 day span that we had it up)
- I've made 2 tumblr pages to attack my niche from 2 different angles and so far it's going well (going to spend a day mass following and reblogging, thing is I have to handpick niche blogs and pics.)

Like in FLM book, I wanna learn both copywriting and SEO, got two courses from on here about SEO and going to start reading books on copywriting.

Operation "Work Work Work"
The more time I put in is the faster this will grow so I decided after this week I'm going to work AROUND THE CLOCK for a week straight (have to go out thursday and saturday) no reading other than forum posts, writing and implementing things.

Fastlane Millionaire is INDEED an eye opener.

Sounds like you have a good plan going especially once you work out your payment issues. Don't forget though, this also has to run without you. Meaning, once you have your standard operating procedure, it's time to outsource and automate.

yep, I'm well aware of "time' the main selling point for the whole brand is the fact that we will have a membership forum which going to be rather expensive given the benefits. Since were the only people doing this specific micro-niche we get to set the standard. Also based on the plan i have for next year, if i follow through we would go viral within our niche AND literally redefine the whole niche. With that said...

I tried updating earlier in the week BUT it wouldn't go through due to some forum guidelines not being met, I was unsure what the problem was and since it was too long to re-write I decided not to post. So to catch everyone up to speed...
- We did test run on email-marketing, we were having problems with our e-mail going to spam box BUT still pulled off a 10% conversion rate. Last night we sent out to 500 people, so will see what's what.
- We have about 40+ sales with no promotion and testing of e-mail marketing
- We got 18 affiliates who are interested in promoting our product (found 2 sites that were beginning to build up to promote my product)

I've setup the following accounts for the sake of traffic and learning more about IM (No way I would've started all this so quick had I not have my partner)
- Facebook Page
- Youtube Channel (Used fiver to up views of 1 specific video)
- Google Plus (Needs To Be Optimized)
- TWO Tumblr Pages (#1 has 500 followers, #2 100 followers...HOWEVER, I've got 300 unique visits on #1 and 400 unique visits on #2)

Alot of unexpected things have been coming up both good and bad, but I love it!! Also decided to not read one new copywriting book, instead a wide range of programs. Thing is I implement as I read, when I read through threads on the forum I literally stopped reading and would spend time implementing it even if it took me hours. Other times, I'd write it down and implement it in my monthly plans/goals. The next 2-3 years are going to be legendary for me

Makes a nice change from the PPD threads, just make sure you keep updating this thread. So Many people just let their threads die, I know it takes balls to fail publicly but sometimes it's the kick up the ass you need to get straight back in the game.

Did some consulting

I'm tempted to use the money and learn all the different avenues of making money...
- I thought about "fake" torrenting my product (give a free chapter) and using PPD methods (or whatever it's called when you take survey to unlock download)
- Explore PPV, PPC methods
- Make another website revolving around similar niche throw up some adsense and use amazon too. The main purpose would be to use the traffic generated to direct to my product

Right now I'm focused on fully rolling out my membership forum, for some reason last two days ZERO SALES

Lots of technical problems, turns out it would take 1,000$ to mail the whole list so now reverting to sending out 1,000 e-mails a day... (One of the biggest problems right now is the mail going to junk/spam folder)

Have alot of plans in the pipeline, I've been humbled as things haven't been going as planned AND I realize I need to think long term. At the sametime it's tempting to want to go my friends route as they're now traveling the world together making x,xxx/day. I must persist though and stick to this.

Decided to spend the next three days in the house working non-stop...

4 days have passed causing me to to lose some morale, e-mail marketing is going to spam and lots of fake e-mails, it cost 1000$ to send 120k e-mails which we don't have the funds to do. (So my partner made a script) Right now I need to learn more and implement. Random affiliates made 2 sales. Will make a detailed report Wednesday

Have you thought about running a solo ad in your niche? Are you working on improving your email copy?

Earlier you said you had 16 sales, was that just random from people finding the site or what? Keep plugging away and always look for areas of improvement.

People say "Content Is King" So going to write 700+ word articles from now till thursday morning, lets see what happens in 30 days!!! I've been sloppy/lazy working on social media but haven't pumped out anymore content other than "private forum". ALSO, I made my freebie PPD related stuff BUT can't find a PPD network to get approved!!!! It's killing my motivation just waiting...ugh!!!

I went back to fastlane mindset of FOCUSING ON ONE PROJECT...

I almost was gonna be sidetracked by making another site and learn IM but I think it's more profitable to focus on my product and being a creator/producer. By sept 1st I should have 700$ to invest and will surely put atleast 500$ towards paid traffic since that will be our #1 source while recruiting TONS of affiliates. Plan is as follows...
- PPD Campaign (Use income to invest in business)
- Content Content Content (Is content truly king!?!?!?!)
- Minimum Social Media Updates (I've got into the habit of using it
- Learn about "Paid Traffic" to invest 1k and see what's what

UPDATE #1
- My partner is in the process of moving so e-mail marketing and content posting has halted (until sept 10th)
- Finally uploaded "preview" ebook on torrent sites (100+ downloads in less than an hour)
- Got my 1st ever REFUND, also had a few people "skeptical" about the product since the "offer" seems too good to be true

What I've learnt so far...
- Content keeps people coming back and each day increases traffic (noticed when I stopped posting content the traffic stabilizes then slowly goes down)
- Social Media is a "slow" process (In terms of time management, PAID TRAFFIC is #1, so I'm now learning about it and will start with atleast a 500$ budget)
- Too early to tell the effectiveness of social media so will give it 6-12 months and the evaluate
- Reading from IM forums are "gold" as I find tidbits to implement and also add "twists" to the methods (This is how I managed to use torrents as a way to expand awareness and make abit of PPD income for the sake of investing in "paid traffic")

I'm going to spend the next 4 days in the house to learn/read and just implement thing. Will write 30 articles for one my "partner" is back so we can get blog rolling again. Also want to have "test" campaigns rolling at the sametime. My prediction is once we go the "paid" traffic route things will blowup. (When I have more income might pay someone to redo our sales copy)

Got message from a few people who were skeptical to buy, also starting to think "maybe the copy is weak?" (I didn't write it nor did I ever apply the copywriting skills I learnt)

UPDATE #2
- Internal issues came up which might force my partner to sell his stake in the business (would suck!!) as he finds prospects willing to buy-in for 1,500. Although at the moment he's been working on the site again so hopefully things are looking UP for him.
- Started writing an article EVERYDAY and applied my own google analytics to track, so far in the past 9 days "450" unique visitors and 4 sales
- Since writing EVERYDAY, my facebook likes increased by 15
- Created a public section of my forum AND soon will implement recurring billing (realizing software cost money)

Right now I'm focused on...
- Actually making a sales copy
- Continue to post everyday and update social media
- Produce content for "members" forum
- Look into making blog posts and writing on web 2.0 sites (Any suggestions? Thinking reddit, stumbleupon, hubpages)

At the moment things I have...

I'm thinking "long term", only thing worth noting is that I have about 1.8k followers on ONE tumblr page

Lessons Learnt
- Should've followed my own advice and wait 6 months before spending any money not going into the business (about 2k in the span of 5 months)
- Focus on the process rather than "numbers" (I have more than enough members to start the monthly billing")
- Start working on different avenues to pull in trafifc
- Launch Affiliate Program!!!! (This halted due to situation with partner, our e-mail marketing has ceased too)

Hopefully by next month things cool off so we can get back on track

Updated #3: "The Storm Is Near"
This is the first time I can say I actually "work" in life BUT at the sametime I love it so much...

I'm glad my partner made me read fastlane millionaire because I was so tempted to follow my successful friends and do affiliate marketing through "paid traffic". However, I promised myself to stick to one project and THANKFULLY I chose my product that I created despite one of my friends who doubt my product will make it SINCE the niche is over-saturated. HOWEVER, I know I am part of a sub-niche...

An so far, I'm proving myself right as sales started to comeback. In the coming month or so I'll have reached $1,000 per month of PASSIVE INCOME. From there my whole life will change since I will have that stabilization of KNOWING and can focus on producing/creating as I have so many ideas. From apps to software to services. I'm following the "fastlane" millionaire and going to give myself FIVE YEARS of hard work before I start to "automate" everything. So 2019, I want to retire from the "excessive" work (but will forever be working in areas related to my niche since I love it)

Anyway, what I've done...

• Created a sales copy (I looked at the analytics for the first time on my CURRENT sales page which has EPC of $4.47 and an "Affilate" EPC of 3.67)
• I've FINALLY started to "cleanup" the e-mail marketing and begin writing a newsletter
• I've used mindjet software to completely mapout everything
• I've been writing blog posts 4x a week
• SOCIAL MEDIA: I have 2 facebook posts a day (related to niche)

What needs to be done...

• I need to e-mail my lists
• I need to get my instagram and twitter going

My NEW process, as I want to implement the mindset of "process oriented, not event oriented"...
1. AUTOMATION WEEK (Start of each month)

• I queue up 30 blog posts (1 auto-blog a day)
• I queue up 60 facebook posts
• I queue up 300x2 tumblr posts (300 per tumblr page)

2. WEEKLY "Workday" = Sunday & Monday

• Focus on editing videos
• Focus on creating "monthly" content
• Focus on creating "exclusive" content
• Read, Research, Plan, Analysis

3. NON-WORK DAYS = Tuesday to Saturday

• Focus on creating videos
• Using twitter and instagram to stay connected
• Read/Reply to messages on all platforms
• Random blog and/or facebook posts

Starting on November 1st I want this process to be habitual that way I can "naturally" have sales rolling in and focus on...

FUTURE PLANS
1. Focus on a "high quality" affiliate program
2. "Test Test Test" paid traffic
3. Buy a "good" laptop (ASUS Vivobook, $1,000)
3. $2,500 "Expendable" cash by April 2014

Right now I'm very happy about how I started IM, the uniqueness and long term outlook as really helped me to stay motivated since I know "it's only a matter of time" all I have to do is follow the process and tweak tweak tweak.

Quick Update
Fell off the wagon, partied for about a week straight

Made a few sales, need figure out a schedule so things aren't so out of whack. A few things happened...
- My tumblr pages were TERMINATED, they stated I had affiliate links (I'm not sure if I should remake since it didn't seem PROFITABLE it gave me a high bounce rate)
- Partner found some willing to buy his share of the business AND invest 1k
- Got contacted by an experiences sales copy writer who loved my offer (which means this has alot of potential??) he charges $3,500

Right now my biggest problem is making this a process it seems like every 2 days I am STOP EVERYTHING.
