so google ads...how does it exactly work?

You have to have a website that already has traffic in order to be approved for google ads? or can I use google ads on a brand new site?

Do you get money for people coming to your website or do they have to click a banner on your website for you to make money?

Do they have to buy anything from you or could you just have a blog with ads on it and people click and you profit?

1. yes you need a website with a sufficient traffic to get approved
2. yes, you can make money when people come visit your site. in every 1000, you get this much $cents. and you can make money when they click the ads too
3. you don't need to sell anything to make money from google adsense. you need an awesome content though

adsense is a hard work, so start now :)
 
Yes you get a blog up and running, uniques content , up to 20-50 articles and adsense will approve your account for you to use and start making money with adsense

First of all, you need a website to run an adsense ads. Then there are a specific requirements you need to meet so that adsense can verify you. After that, that's the only time you can run adsense ads on your website. It'll surely make you a lot of money if you know how to monetize your website. A good seo skills is also needed when it comes to this part.
