With new websites it is very common to initially reach a good ranking quickly then slip back to where you should be and gradually rise back to the top.
Keep on building backlinks at a consistent pace and adding fresh content and you will get back up there in time. SEO is not an instant thing, you gotta keep working on it and give it time.
