Hi guys, what is the best method to keep an eye on, then buy domains that are near expiring? Seems different registrars have different timescales for how long they take to make a domain available for sale. If one is expiring soon, what is the best way to try and buy it if not renewed?

Honestly, the best way is to pay for a pro service. Usually, the domain will drop pretty randomly and if it is a domain worth getting, many other domain snatchers will jump on it. I tried to get a domain at some point and lost it because I didn't want to pay a pro to get it. If you don't have your own soft to keep checking availability and then register it automatically when it drops.. you as an individual will have a really hard time getting it

you need to buy from dropcatch or other system.they will catch domain instantly when dropped

This is an art really. There are folks who have bots who monitor domains 24x7 and buy the good ones.

Just post to the want to buy section here and you'll get offers.

If you have good cash, just go to Dropcatch. They are now the best broker for this by far. If you find a domain expiring, they will probably have it in their list (90% of the times)

Personally I don't use dropcatch anymore, because regardless if noone is bidding for a domain, they won't autoassign it to you (in case you are the sole bidder), but catch it and put it on a bidding, which is obnoxious (essentially you are doing the dirty job for them).

But if you are beginning on this, this is the safest and simplest way to secure any domain (if you have the good cash to secure it, and outbid anyone else, obviously).

Nowadays PBN catchers just check the domains on biddings, and try to outbid. Most are too lazy to scrape and research by themselves.
