Hello friends can anyone clear a basic doubt

Did hosting on a expired domain is better than 301 redirecting it to new one ?

And If I do 301 redirect to new one did all the metrics TF , CF , DA , PA will also transfer to new domain or will it take some time ? or some metrics will decrease after transfering ?

And is it ok for a long run ?

I personally prefer to create money site on expired domain instead of a new one. Although no one knows for sure but in my opinion, not all the link juice flows through a 301 redirect

A 301 is less reliable it seems. It can take some time for your stats to migrate to your new domain if they do at all.

You are generally better off building a site on an aged domain or to add it to your PBN and then create a link to your money site from it.

Doing a 301 is the best way to test your expired domain. If it works, then you can do the 301 to your money site, if not then use it as a pbn and boost its metrics.

301 is better because you would inherit all backlinks from the redirected domain.

I reserve 301ing only to situations where the domain is very related to my money site. In every other case, I build out the domain as a mini site and link from it.

I redirected an expired domain to my money site about 10 days ago. Same niche and similar kws. Still waiting for results.

Both have got its benefits, so use it what you think is best for your domains. I would suggest to build a PBN

You cannot stack the metrics. Domain authority uses a logarithmic rule, I believe base 10!

301 redirect is fine as long as it is relevant to your site, otherwise use it as PBN.
