Stated in 2017 that an expired domain will loose all its power because it had a period of time "offline"

But auction expired domain are online alltime so that will work.

Is that true? Any experiences with this?

Thanks

good question, I think expired means they are available to buy but auction means someone else already owns it

In my opinion, I'd take what Ilyes says publicly with a pinch of salt. I've had good success with PBNs containing sites that have been unregistered for 2 years +. Not saying Illys is giving the world some misdirection, but a 'period of time offline' is pretty open to interpretation... Maybe if a domain has been benched for a decade, it doesn't hold the same value, but I've never picked one up that old. If the domain metrics are still showing well, and links are still live, I'd think they're treated like any other. Just be careful if repurposing, as opposed to recreating.

Pbn are strong efforts.

Maby what it works today don't work tomorrow. Maby There is an update in Google and your expired domains starts to not work.

He is pointing that there is an direction in google with expired domains. That google have the eye on this..

Isn't smart to dont work for nothing, just investing a bit more money?

Thoughts?

Load od bullshit. He stated that in 2017, now it's almost 2019 and guess what. They work just as good as they have always worked.

But yeah, it's a great idea to listen to what Google has to say. They want you to make money by black hat SEO. They want you to succeed!
