Expired Domains Question

Hi guys! So if I find a domain that is deleted and I can register it again, if I register it, will it lose authority?

Say it has some nice backlinks, good PA/DA and a PR of 3.

I'm aware that the PR will be gone, but will the authority be affected by a reregistration?

If the links stay, the DA and PR will also stay. That is my experience anyway.

In my case,what i did was use ,Open site explorer and check the first 10 highest links and manually checked if the link was still there.As long as the links are still there,sure they will keep the authority.
