Apologize if this is the wrong section, but this has got everything to do with site flipping. I have heard that several people find expired domains, put a blog in it, fill it with plr from the date the domain was registered the very first time, and sell it for huge profits. Could anyone share a list of software that would help us do it?

I think there was a website that was listing them :)
Don't know the website,will research a bit.

maybe you mean this website http://www.freshdrop.net/

but thats a site that lists auctions on other sites like sedo. is there a site that tracks expiring domains and alerts us know when it is dropped so that we can re-register it?

Go to godaddy and click on domain auctions...There you can buy old domains..filter by price,keyword...

wsmdomains.com also offers a daily list of dropped or expired domain names.

wsmdomains.com/help/expireddaily.html

If they were dropped (allowed to expire) and the re-bought after they become publicly available then there is not really any more value to them than a completely new domain - the domain's age will show as the newest acquired date and the internet history of the domain will show as "dropped"

The trick to making the site seem older is to purchase a domain name before it is dropped

Freshdrop has restricted almost all of the cool functionality and moved it to PRO which they now charge $99 a month. Any other site where you can see aged-about-to-expire domain names?

What a crap site/offer.

"Free domains" registered more than 24hours ago etc.

Domainmarket: last entries are from May 2009....

They have a paid service where you can get information before everybody else. If you know a free service that provides that please tell us.

I signin today with the highest paid service and the service is crap:

.) wrong PR on the mostly sites (mirror from others)
.) Sites found the reregistered +40 hours in the past but in the system marked as "free"
.) not really good filters
.) domainmonitor with extracosts (100 Euro) and also didn't deliver correct datas
(BL false, PR false, Alexrank false)
.) BL Analyse without any function
.) different IP / BL...all sites with 0 ( i checked some with other tools so this is the next false data)
.) Domainchecker didn't work...

need more?

Than don't use it, mate!

I have nothing to do with the site, I just suggested it from what I know. If you know better than I do about good places for finding expired domains - and that's entirely possible as this is not my area of expertise - go ahead and tell everyone.
