Hi Everyone! I would like to purchase an expired domain with 1.3k backlinks. However I found out that those backlinks are coming from adult sites. The content I'm planning to upload in my new website is about celebrities but these will be non-porn related content. Will I get penalized by Google because of the previous backlinks coming from adult content sites?

@MisterF — Maybe this should in lounge.

@Op you don’t want to buy that Domain . I’m sure it must have to used for adult related PBN and stuff.

You could find another expired domain with good metrics or buy one.

Thanks for your replies. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum, please transfer thread as needed.

don't use expired adult pages ......

As others have mentioned, it's probably a risky/spammy domain. @Nargil's guide on expired domains has a lot of helpful information on screening out spammy domains and finding the ones that are actually decent. Check it out here:

Simply avoid everything adult. Those domains were affiliate sites in 99% cases and SEOed on purpose. Thus, can't be considered clean.

1300 backlinks doesn't speak much about itself. Domain with 10 RD can have 1300 backlinks and still be clean, albeit I would be a bit suspicious due to that ratio.

Thread Moved.

Is it safe to say, this domain prematurely expired?
