Expired Domain Traffic

How accurate is expired domain traffic in yalls experience? Im looking at some godaddy auctions and im just wondering if these stats on expired domains are inflated by bots or is it the real deal.

If someone has some experiece on this subject matter please feel free to share any other insight that you might have, such as : how long does the traffic stay, have you tried monetizing the traffic, is the traffic typically junk traffic?( Im assuming if it was an expired bank website, then offering them bank related offers might be helpful.

Traffic could be from different sources, including people considering to purchase the domain and obviously through existing rankings and referrals and should be used as a guide. If other metrics look natural, so would traffic be.
