What qualities/history should i look for in an expired domain to use for a web 2.0?

I will probably hire someone to find me some examples but am unsure what to ask for.

I have Ahrefs and will use this to check out the domains before i buy/use.

Many thanks.

No need to check the history, do look the metrics PA and sites are in the index.PM sent

What is that?

There are several threads that explain how you should be checking expired domains. It depends how you would like to use them but usually check metrics as well as quality of referring domains.

I was wondering the same thing.
OP are you talking about expired domains (ex. domainname.com) or expired web2.0/free blogs (ex. username.tumblr.com) ?

I'm not 100% sure myself. I think it is just the domain name, i'm not sure if you can take over old content from the previous domain owner.

From my experience, don't bother with dropped/expired web 2.0's. They all seem to get deleted, no matter how well you make them.
New ones work just as well.

If on the other hand you are referring to using expired domains to set up a PBN, then PM @Nargil

Ahh! Things are becoming clearer.

I intend to create a PBN and am hoping to use expired domains that already have some authority.

I was thinking that Web 2.0 and PBN were the same thing (i still suspect there is some crossover) but it is becoming clearer now.

web 2.0 is a free to use interactive platform. People use these to set up free mini websites, but you never actually own them, so they can be deleted at any time.

PBN is a personal network of websites owned by you. You need to buy domains, and build all of the websites on different hosting so they don't appear to all be owned by you.

Use the search function to learn how to build a PBN properly.

OP, there are many threads available here in BHW about starting a PBN. Try to gain more information before buying some domains and building one.

You must do something really wrong to get web2.0's deleted. I have expired blogs from tumblr, weebly, overblog, livejournal and overblog that are up to 4 years old.
And that part with new ones work just as well... How do you even know if your 'expired blogs' get deleted 'no matter how well you make them' ?

OP I suggest you invest some time in getting accustomed with the terminology and with seo in general, before diving in building links.
If you think that, for example, expired blogs/domains are some magical shit, it is time to read more. Otherwise you will soon start a thread with 'SEO is dead'.
