Expired domain still ranking

Hello,


I am looking to buy a expired domain which is still indexed in google and also ranked for few keywords in google. The domain is auctioned in godaddy now.

When i type the domain without www, i get that standard domain expired page from godaddy. But when i type the domain with WWW, the real site gets opened. I am confused. The site also opens when i click directly from google SERP. Has the domain really expired?

tried checking with different proxies? also have you cleared your browser cache?

I don't have the feeling that the page is cloaked.

I noticed the blog is hosted on blogger.com, is it anything to do with it?

Yes that blog is hosted on blogger server.

Blogger server do not allow xyz.com they only allow www.xyz.com

So when you type xyz.com on web address that landed from where that domain purchased.

This happens in only blogger site. So the domain is not expired if it is open in your browser with www.

Don;t worry search for new expired domain. Hope you will get best one

How long will it work? Till the domain goes into redemption period?

When you create your own site on that domain, content is indexed then you will see different story....
