Expired domain question

So... Working on my offpage seo for my adult site. I decided to scan playboy for expired domains and I find one.. I figure an adult site would get some very nice SEO juice with a 301 ******** link from playboy.

The only issue is that the domain name is a performer's name. I am going to go out on a limb and assume that this is asking for trouble huh? And not worth the risk.

Don't worry about that. For PBN purposes you may remind undetected and even brands and names don't hold properties for domains as long as you don't talk about them explicitely.

Wondering if all of this scanning is for nothing. I know 301s used to be good for SEO in the old days... i keep reading from quite a few that its pointless now.
