Expired Domain Question - Restoring old content ?

Hi,

if i was to get an expired domain related to my niche, is there any downside to restoring some of their articles?

* if I use archive.org to find related content to my niche

They still own the copyright even if it's down, so yeah that could cause you trouble.

Safest bet is to rewrite or spin it.
 
Restore only if it highly related to your niche. I think there is no issue to restore content unless the site is branded or owned by a company
 
Never copy paste.. add something, remove something, and make it your own.. also don't forget to check the uniqueness of the article before posting.
 
I wouldn't restore someone else’s content without rewriting it beforehand. Use it as a reference or whatever, just don’t publish it as is. Otherwise, it will be like sleeping on an old landmine. You’ll never know when or if it will go off.

Yes was just gonna use for content ideas
 
It's good to restore after spinning the content, Also, try to update the content by adding your own ideas.
