Expired Domain Legal Concern (For Once)

Normally, I do not give two craps about registering an old domain that belonged to a company or someone else prior for a pbn.

However, lets pretend you found a domain like cancerresearchcenter.com thats available to reg, and the company is currently active at cancerreasearchcenter.org -- what do you do?

With how much harder domain hunting is getting lately its not so easy to pass up on.

Would you reg it or run away?

Well if domain name is trademarked and the company is active I believe they have a legal ground to get it back. But serious company would never do such a rookie mistake of expering domain. You should be fine. I actually saw one today, foundation for deaf people. Passed it on though, do not have a use for it.

Just wondering; underneath the whois protection was the domain registered to your actual name and real address? Or did you fake it?
