Expired Domain Backlinks

I have an expired domain with some good backlinks( high DA).

But some of the links are not for homepage but for different categories. These categories doesn't exist on my site now .

So, what should I do to utilize those backlinks?

Please Note: I don't want to keep those categories ( in backlinks)as they have now of no use.

Anything that you aren't going to have on your new site should just be redirected to your home page or if you have a similar category then there.

Think of the users experience, what they are looking for is no longer there, you want to add value by sending them to the next best thing you provide for what they were looking for.
