1. Develop a brand. If you are uploading multiple torrents, and you think your niche is brandable, then thinking of a name that people can remember and associate your downloads with can be extremely useful.
2. Search related torrents to yours and add your own torrent link to the comments section. Claiming it to be better and well seeded is usually a good idea, even if it's not true.
3. Speaking of seeding, make sure you get people to seed, and make sure you seed plenty yourself. No one likes a dead torrent.
4. Sometimes the time of day when you upload your warez/p2p/torrent can be very essential. Peak hours are more desirable, but harder to get people to download if you have competition (if say, it's a TV show or something).
5. Your file can also be very important. Whether it's too big or not, or whether it is compressed or not can make a decision in someone to download your file.
6. If you're just looking for people to download your file at your link, then message boards will always be the best idea. Sign up for forums and just start unleashing your link everywhere if you think it might be popular.
