Expert Advice Needed : Google Penalty notice PURE SPAM

Hi guyz,

I don't open a lot of threads seeking guidance from members, but this time I've tried searching online and found no answer.

I've received a "Manual Penalty" with the Mention "Pure Spam" Here is a screenshot :


This is for a churn and burn website which is actually not important to me, because I could replicate what I did for ranking it with no problems.

However I need to know more about this penalty.

4 days ago I ordered a fiverr gig with express delivery that built like 75k backlinks from 400 domains. The ranking went from #9 to #2 on the same day I received the report (the gig was processed in less than 1day) , but At the same Time I did some onpage changes and recrawled with googlebot and submitted to index, this was like 1hour before the rankings went from #9 to #2. (I did this because I noticed I might have been over-optimizing some elements)


Is it content based ? Or is it link based ? Is it really manual or algorithmic ?

Hope you guys have some experience with this situation.

It is both content and link based.

Basically you got reported and a Google employee manually reviewed your site and found that it was crap. Most likely it is a link problem, assuming your site doesn't look like pure garbage.

It is definitely not an algorithmic penalty.

Just know though that FYI it is probably one of your competitors that reported you, so if you do achieve top rankings again you are going to get smacked again.

So whether or not it is worth going through the whole process again is up to you. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't.

Now this makes things Clearer for me. Well the content was not bad actually , I mean it was no gibberish but the monetization was throught some link *******.

I Finally Got my answer. And I know who did this for sure. The owner lives in an exotic country and he has been visiting my website "directly" and regurarly even thought it is penalized. I'll shoot him an email.
