Experimenting this week how to properly *track* indexing web 2.0s

Anyone know if site: myweb2.0site dot com would work for tracking indexed web 2.0s. I have a few medium links indexed via GSC.

I am asking how do i track indexing with these things?

I have about 50-100 blogs i made and using:

Social media
Cheap trafffic
Backlinking to top level domains

---I am skeptical about bookmarking or ping servicdes
A. Ping service is new and make no sense atm
B. bookmarking seems like ppl stop using it, which mean no working?

Hoping as well i dont eat a penalty as i index these things or if I

There are basically 4 different search queries you can use as vectors to track indexing of third party urls:

inurl:myweb2.0site.com
myweb2.0site.com
"myweb2.0site.com"

site:URL is usually the most useful and tends to be all you need, but for full coverage you can use all 4 if needed.

Pinging does not have much if any effect these days. Bookmarking may help if the sites are spidered often, though most bookmarking sites I see nowadays are very thin on content or spammed, so spiders will probably not be interested. A lot of bookmark links are also just redirects rather than a real link.

There are indexing services in the marketplace that will give you free credits to test. Sign up for them all and you'll probably have enough free credits to cover all your web2.0s.
 
Using site:yourdomain.com works well to check indexed pages, but Google Search Console gives more accurate data. Bookmarking still helps a bit, but focus more on quality backlinks and real engagement

You can’t ping google anymore since 2023. Use an indexing service from the marketplace. I personally use both linkdexing, and speedy index. Speedy index is the best imo

I have never seen a wordpress, wix or weebly web 2.0 show up on site: operator. I have seen medium and substack get indexed. Make me wonder if to bother. I have seen some blogspots get indexed as well. Make me wonder if I need to change this strategy.

I index Web 2.0 frequently. Weebly is actually one of the easiest, and they can rank for very easy keywords without backlinks.

What you don’t want to do is make one pagers that don’t offer any value to a user. You should be building them out with multiple posts, with decent quality content.

Subdomains are brand new domains in googles eyes. No trust, no authority. Pump them up with posts and backlinks.

I will agree there’s better strategies if you’re using a parasite style campaign and trying to rank using existing website authority. The old web2 subdomains with no authority can be a waste of time.
 
To track indexing, you can use site:yourweb2.0site.com for a quick check, or indexing service from marketplace. Social media, traffic, and backlinks help indexing avoid relying on bookmarking as they’re mostly outdated.
